Dr. Bijan Zarrabi, MD, is a psychiatrist, comedian, and studied Psychobiology and Theater at UCLA before earning his medical degree from Rush Medical College. He completed his adult psychiatry residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a program affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and is now pursuing advanced fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Bijan began performing stand-up comedy in Los Angeles—where he met Macey—and continued in Chicago during medical school, ultimately graduating from The Second City’s Improv Program. He has since blended his passions for psychology, medicine, and comedy to make mental health topics both accessible and engaging for audiences in and out of healthcare. Bijan is especially passionate about bridging the sometimes tense conversations between patients and healthcare workers online, helping people advocate for themselves while avoiding extremes and misinformation.
Originally from Austin, macey studied at the Groundlings and is a nationally touring stand-up comedian. She has performed in festivals like Netflix is a Joke, Laughing Skull, Flyover, Limestone, Boston, Prize, and Bergamot and has been featured on Netflix is a Joke Radio on Sirius XM. In Santa Monica, she hosts "The Picture Day Show", a popular stand-up show at The Crow. In 1999, she was the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Champion at her elementary school. In 2022, she was named one of the Top 35 Comics to Break Out by Interrobang. In 2023, she was a finalist in KTLA's Summer of Funny. In 2024, she filmed a special for Dry Bar Comedy, and in 2025, she filmed a special for Don't Tell Comedy and even wrote this bio.
